Er. Prabin Kumar Mahato is a Lecturer in the Department of Electrical Engineering. He received his Master of Technology (M.Tech.) in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Ropar, India, in 2024, and his Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Electrical Engineering from Kathmandu Engineering College, Nepal, in 2021. He has academic experience as a Teaching Assistant at IIT Ropar and has served as a Visiting Faculty member at Kathmandu Engineering College, Gaushala Engineering Campus, and IOE Purwanchal Campus, where he taught various undergraduate courses in electrical engineering.
His research interests include power electronics, electric drives, power converter fault diagnosis, and power systems. His research focuses on the analysis and diagnosis of power converter faults in switched reluctance motor drives, as well as power quality improvement in grid-connected renewable energy systems.He has published a research paper in the proceedings of the IEEE International Conference on Industrial Electronics (IECON).
