The National College of Engineering (NCE) is all set to host the 5th edition of YATRA, its flagship technology and innovation festival, on Shrawan 15 and 16, 2083. Over the years, YATRA has established itself as one of NCE’s signature events, celebrating innovation, technical excellence, creativity, and student leadership.
A Collaborative Student-Led Initiative
YATRA 5.0 is being jointly organized by the college’s four core student clubs under the leadership and coordination of the Research and Development (R&D) Division, with active support from the respective academic departments:
- NCE Robotics Club
- NCE IT Club
- NCE Civil Engineering Students Society
- NCE Electrical Engineering Club
The two-day festival will bring together students, innovators, researchers, and technology enthusiasts from engineering institutions across Nepal. It provides a vibrant platform for participants to demonstrate technical skills, exchange ideas, collaborate across disciplines, and showcase innovative engineering solutions.
Building on a Legacy of Innovation
Since its inception, YATRA has grown steadily in scale and reputation. Previous editions have featured a dynamic range of technical competitions and exhibitions, including:
- Robotics & Drones: Autonomous and manual robotics contests, drone competitions.
- Computing & IT: Coding challenges, software, and hardware project showcases.
- Core Engineering: Engineering model exhibitions, technical paper and poster presentations.
- Interactive Events: Quizzes, gaming events, workshops, and discipline-specific activities.
Continuing this tradition, YATRA 5.0 promises an exciting lineup designed to inspire creativity and strengthen the culture of research. The festival also aims to bridge the gap between students, academia, and the industry, encouraging participants to apply engineering knowledge to real-world challenges.
