Sharmila Bista is a Computer Engineer and Associate Professor at National College of Engineering (NCE) with 10 years of experience. She graduated from National College of Engineering with first-class honors in Bachelor of Computer Engineering and obtained her Master of Engineering degree in Computer Engineering from Nepal College of Information Technology, being dean-listed.
Ms. Bista began her academic career as a Lecturer at National College of Engineering, Tribhuvan University (TU), in 2074 B.S. She was later promoted to Senior Lecturer in the Department of Computer and Electronics Engineering at NCE. In addition to working as a teaching faculty member, she is actively involved in supervising student projects as a Project Supervisor. Ms. Bista previously worked as a System Engineer at Itel Communication Pvt. Ltd. and as Chief Technology Officer at Information Technology Concerns Pvt. Ltd.
In addition to teaching and working as an IT professional, she is extensively involved in research and publication. Her research work has been published in renowned national and international journals, such as the Journal of Information Security and NCE Journal of Science and Engineering. She has also worked as a Peer Reviewer for various journals, including the International Journal of Network Management, Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering, and JZUS-C (Computers & Electronics). She also has experience working as a Field Editor at NCE Journal of Science and Engineering (NJSE).
