Abhishek Kumar Karn, currently a Lecturer in the Department of Civil Engineering at National College of Engineering, completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering in 2016 and his Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering in 2022, both from the Institute of Engineering, Tribhuvan University. His master’s research focused on type designs of school buildings developed after the Gorkha Earthquake 2015, with reference to the revised version of Nepal’s seismic design code.
In addition to his academic achievements, he has nearly seven years of diverse experience, including four years of teaching at a technical school. After graduation, he worked on structural analysis, design, drawing, and reporting for various building projects within the Kathmandu Valley. Subsequently, he was involved in the construction of civil works for electrical substations. Transitioning to academia, he developed a strong passion for teaching, making him a valuable asset to the institute.
