Sharmila Bista is a Computer Engineer and Senior Lecturer at National College of Engineering (NCE) with an experience of 10 years. She graduated from National College of Engineering with first class honors in Bachelor of Computer Engineering and obtained her Master of Engineering degree in Computer Engineering from Nepal College of Information and Technology being dean-listed.
Ms. Bista began her academic career as Lecturer of National College of Engineering, of Tribhuvan University (TU) in 2074 B.S. She later was promoted to Senior Lecturer at the Department of Computer and Electronics Engineering at NCE. In addition to working as a teaching faculty, she is also actively involved in supervision of student’s projects as Project Supervisor. Ms. Bista previously worked as System Engineer at Itel Communication Pvt Ltd and as Chief Technology Officer at Information Technology Concerns Pvt Ltd.
In addition to teaching and working as an IT professional, she is extensively involved in research and publication. Her work of research is published in renowned national and international journals such as Journal of Information Security, NCE Journal of Science and Engineering, among others. She has also worked as Peer Reviewer at various Journals such as International Journal of Network Management, Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering, JZUS-C (Computers & Electronics), among others. She also has experience of working as Field Editor at NCE Journal of Science and Engineering (NJSE).
