The Civil Engineering Department is proud to share information about a special learning opportunity for our students through a guest lecture titled “Gwarko Overpass: An Opportunity to Learn and Experience.” This event, held on Monday, 2081/03/31, featured Er. Priyanka Jha, a respected engineer from the Department of Road. The program was designed to blend classroom learning with real-world application and included a lecture at the college followed by a site visit to the Gwarko Overpass.
During the lecture, Er. Priyanka Jha shared her extensive knowledge and experiences about the design, quality control, and implementation techniques used in the Gwarko Overpass project. Her insights provided students and faculty with a deeper understanding of the complexities involved in such large-scale engineering projects.
The event was attended by about 50 Civil Engineering Fourth Year students and faculty members, who benefited greatly from the on-field experience during the site visit. This hands-on opportunity allowed them to see the practical applications of their theoretical studies in a real-world setting.
This initiative highlights our dedication to bridging the gap between academic education and practical engineering challenges. By participating in this program, students were able to apply their classroom knowledge to real engineering problems, enhancing their learning experience and preparing them for future professional endeavors.
