Civil Engineering

Department of Civil Engineering

Since 2009 A.D., National College of Engineering (NCE) has offered a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. The Bachelor of Civil Engineering (BE Civil) program has its emphasis on professional engineering that works with the organization, conception, development, and upkeep of the physical infrastructure constructed in the natural environment. Civil Engineering is about creating public or private projects including roads, bridges, tunnels, channels, canals, helipads, airports, dams, buildings, parks, or sports facilities. We have made it our mission from the start to provide our students with the most recent Civil Engineering knowledge, skills, and values so they can compete and contribute both locally and globally. Helping people and reshaping the natural world are the two main goals of civil engineering. Additionally, the goal of this department is to give students a solid foundation in analytical and experimental skills that they can use in a variety of civil engineering fields, including transportation engineering, structural engineering, surveying, urban engineering, water resource engineering, geotechnical engineering, etc. We guarantee that all aspiring students will be equipped with cutting-edge information that will open the door to a bright future in your field of specialization.
Department of Civil Engineering is equipped with cutting-edge labs, academically esteemed teaching staff, and industry-proven standards. Along with educating you and broadening your field of knowledge through elective courses, seminars, trainings, workshops, field trips, survey camps, etc., we work to develop you into a competent engineer and a better person who can benefit society, the country, and the entire world.
Along with normal classes, the department regularly arranged study tours and field trips on a variety of topics, including hydropower, irrigation, transportation, water supply, sanitary facilities, geology, and construction materials.
For third-year students, a ten days survey camp is held as a requirement for their studies.
